Every Day Queens is a multimedia project inspired by the Everyday woman and it responds to the counter intuitive power dynamics at work in our daily lives. If service is leadership, or leadership is service, surely the people who serve us are the ones to wear the crown – true kings and queens.
The project includes a 14-piece installation [2019] of unique headpieces made using things found in our homes such as cardboard, foil, palm leaves, raffia etc. exhibited the Future Africa Visions in Time in Makerere University Gallery and a photo collaboration [2020] with Ugandan photographer Kibuuka Mukisa-yet to be exhibited.
